Walker Foster awarded membership to the Law Society’s Wills and Inheritance Quality Scheme

March 26, 2014

Walker Foster has joined only a handful of firms in the UK to be awarded membership to the Law Society’s Wills and Inheritance Quality Scheme (WIQS), the mark of excellence for wills, probate and estate administration.

Walker Foster is the first law firm in the Craven area, and in the local areas of its branch offices in Silsden, Ilkley and Barnoldswick to be awarded the prestigious trust mark, which follows rigorous assessment by the Law Society.

Stuart Rowland, Partner and Head of Private Client at Walker Foster said: “We are delighted to have secured WIQS status.  It acts as a kite-mark for consumers, showing we have been independently verified as a firm they can trust. To achieve it is recognition of our consistently high standards in client service and transparency in process, costs and communications. I have to say that this is largely down to the hard work and dedication of all our solicitors and staff

The award is further validation of Walker Foster’s credentials in client service following our securing of  the Law Society’s Quality Conveyancing Scheme (CQS) status – the mark of excellence for the home buying and selling process.“

The WIQS was launched by the Law Society to provide SRA-regulated firms with the opportunity to demonstrate to consumers and key stakeholders their commitment to the highest standards of client service. It helps consumers distinguish between highly-trained, regulated solicitors and unregulated will writers.
