The impact we have on the communities we serve can be profound

We believe that businesses have a profound responsibility to contribute positively to society. Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives are at the heart of our firm, guiding us to make meaningful impacts in the local communities we serve. Our efforts include:

Charitable giving: supporting local charities through donations and sponsorships
Volunteering: encouraging our employees to volunteer their time and skills to various community projects and initiatives
Education and Empowerment: partnering with educational institutions to offer work experience, careers talks, and apprenticeship training programmes

At Walker Foster Solicitors CSR is not just a policy, it's a commitment to making a difference. We are proud of the strides we have made and are excited about the future as we continue to integrate social responsibility into everything we do, whilst improving our own colleague engagement as a result.

Highlights

Over the years

Some of our highlights from the last few years include:

Raising £550 for Skipton Step Into Action in June 2023 by completing a half marathon walk from Skipton office in July, to Silsden, finishing up at Ilkley.
Building on the success of the previous year, we then raised over £1000 for The Principle Trust in June 2024 by completing another half marathon circular walk from our Skipton office.
We have supported Ilkley Good Neighbours by serving afternoon teas at events being run by at Bolton Abbey in June and September of 2023.
The Silsden Team have been busy gathering food bank donations from staff, friends, family and clients for The Salvation Army in Keighley.
In July 2023, our Harrogate Team spent an afternoon clearing a huge area of garden for Henshaws in Knaresborough.
Throughout September 2023, each office collected kind donations huge amounts of clothing to deliver to Harrogate Clothes Bank.
In October 2023, a number of the team attended and supported The Big Skipton Quiz for The Principle Trust, and will be sponsoring the event in October 2024.
In December 2023, the Skipton office acted as a drop off point for Christmas gifts for the annual Skipton Step Into Action Elves Appeal.
Also in December, our Barnoldswick office was the first stop on the Great Barlick Christmas Adventure trail, donating reindeer food and sweets to all the local children taking part!
In February 2024, a number of the team spent the day volunteering for The Principle Trust, cleaning their holiday homes ready for the new season.
For the past 2 years we have sponsored and volunteered for Ilkley Pride.
