Walker Foster has a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Private Client Solicitor to join their expanding Private Client department. We work across four sites and you will be based in our Ilkley office which is in the heart of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. We are long established in the local area (one hundred years old) and so you will gain exposure to a wide spectrum of Private Client work and a very strong local client base. This is very much an opportunity to drive your career forward.
What will you be doing?
The successful candidate will be handling their own caseload consisting of wills and inheritance tax planning, estate administration, powers of attorney, court of protection work and trusts and will preferably have knowledge of care funding. Client contact and maintaining excellent client relationships are key to this role so great communication skills are a necessity. The firm prides themselves on the great results they consistently deliver and so you will need to be highly dedicated and passionate about your work.
What does the ideal candidate look like?
We are looking for a full time Private Client Solicitor who is three to five years PQE. What is key is that you will be commercially savvy and be extremely self-motivated to join the team and help drive further growth of the department by utilising the excellent client base and contacts we have. You will have excellent communication skills, great attention to detail, a positive outlook and the desire to offer outstanding client service. You will have strong IT skills, and experience of case management systems will give your application a distinct advantage. Working very much as part of a team, you must be friendly, approachable and a great team player.
