We look after our team

Holidays

We know how important it is to take a break with friends, family or just to have some time to yourself. That’s why we go above and beyond the statutory minimum entitlement. 

All staff are entitled to 23 days’ annual leave, plus bank holidays.

We also close the business for a few days at Christmas, but that’s our choice, and therefore we don’t believe you should have to use your personal holiday entitlement – we just give you the time as appreciation for all your hard work throughout the year.

And as an extra thank you to those who show longer-term commitment to us, we increase holiday entitlement after 3, 5 and 7 years’ service.

And lastly, for those that really love their holidays, we offer the option to purchase up to a week of additional annual leave

Company Paid Healthcare

We want you to feel valued and looked after, and for that reason, after 6 months’ employment with us, you are entitled to benefit from our NHS Top-Up Healthcare Plan

Unlike private medical insurance, which covers the treatment of unforeseen medical conditions, our NHS Top-Up Plan contributes toward the cost of routine healthcare. This means you don’t have to be ill to benefit. It’s an affordable way to recover some of the costs of essential, foreseeable healthcare, such as:

  • Routine dental treatment
  • Optical treatment inc. glasses, contact lenses
  • Therapies such as physiotherapy, homeopathy
  • Specialist medical consultations
  • Cash benefit for hospital stays and NHS Car Parking

Pension

To help you save for your retirement, after 3 months’ employment with us you are automatically enrolled into our workplace pension scheme. 

We will contribute 3% of your salary on a monthly basis, and as a minimum, you will contribute 5%, however, you can choose to increase your contributions at any time.

Employee Assistant Programme and Remote GP Services

There are times when we could all benefit from some extra help or advice, and the convenience of having access to remote benefits from the comfort of our own homes is invaluable.

That’s why we make sure all our staff have access to Remote and Private GP Services, and an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), both of which are available 24/7.

Our EAP provides specialist telephone support for your wellbeing and health, as well as telephone counselling, online CBT, Life Skills courses, Debt and Money Information and Support, and Legal guidance.

Rewards & Recognition

Our teams work hard for us, and that’s why we like to make sure we regularly reward and recognise everyone’s efforts.

This might be as simple as an office lunch, some extra time off to focus on your wellbeing, or a well-deserved team night out. 

We also believe that birthdays should be celebrated, no matter what your age. So we’ll make sure you get an early finish on your special day, and send you on your way with a little gift to say “Happy Birthday” from all of us.

Training and Development Opportunities

The importance of personal development and growth cannot be understated; it allows you to become the best version of yourself, giving you the skills and confidence necessary to navigate any situation.

For that reason, we are truly committed to the development of our teams. If you come to work for us, you can expect to undertake regular training to develop your legal knowledge, IT and system capabilities, and the skills and behaviours required for your day to day role.

Thanks to our partnership with Skipton Tennis Centre, we are able to offer discounted membership to all staff members and their immediate family members.

Corporate Social Responsibility

We want our teams to feel included and connected, to work together for social causes in our local communities and to feel proud and positive about the difference we are making together. We encourage everyone in our team to take time out of the business to undertake some type of CSR activity, such as volunteering or fundraising for one of the local causes we’ve identified as a CSR Committee.

Standard wills and residential conveyancing services are offered free to all staff members (after a qualifying period) with other legal work offered at a discounted rate.
