North Yorkshire law firm, Walker Foster has appointed experienced family lawyer, Geraldine Farry, to boost its family law team.  Following the recent retirement of Alister Keighley, after 40 years in practice, the family team has been restructured.
 
Liz Hebden, who will head up the department commented, ‘We are indebted to Alister for his commitment to the firm and wish him well in his retirement. We have witnessed a significant growth in the family department in recent years and are delighted to have attracted a high-calibre candidate in Geraldine. Her knowledge and expertise will enable us to continue to meet demand and offer our Clients the best possible service.’
 

Geraldine, who has over 20 years experience in family law matters and is a member of the Children Panel and the Law Society Panel, added,  ‘I am delighted to be joining Walker Foster, whose strong ethos of excellent client service was a major factor behind my decision to join the firm.  I look forward to the department continuing to grow from strength to strength’.
 
Associate legal executive, Suzanne Preston, who joined the firm in 2008, is now specialising in family work and is building her own reputation and caseload, in addition to being a valuable source of support for Geraldine and Liz.
