Peter Walker

Peter started at Walker Foster’s Barnoldswick office in 1977 as a Trainee Solicitor or as it was called in those days, an ‘Articled Clerk’. Since qualifying and over the last forty years Peter has gained a great deal of knowledge and experience in a number of fields, more notably, Property and Probate and with a particular specialism in Tax planning, buying and selling businesses, estate developments and leasehold property transactions.
As you would imagine, working in Barnoldswick for forty years has given Peter a great deal of knowledge and understanding about this thriving town and the people who live and work there. He is hugely respected among his clients and peers and works very hard to ensure that he makes a real contribution to the community he serves wherever possible. He is a Life Governor of Cancer Research and takes a very active role in the firm’s Wills Aid programme which raises funds for nominated charities each year.

Peter is a Trustee of Craven Lawn Tennis club and past President and Captain at Ilkley Golf club. He has represented a number of members from both clubs in different legal matters and has provided legal support to the clubs themselves when needed.

Best part of the job for Peter:

Even after forty years, it’s still a great thrill to welcome new clients to the firm and to deliver a quality service so that they become long standing satisfied clients.
