June 10, 2016

The latest statistics on cases that are received and processed through the justice system of England and Wales for January to March 2016 have been published by the Ministry of Justice (MOJ).

Civil cases (excluding family cases). The courts dealt with around 437,000 claims—an increase of 10% on the same quarter in the previous year. There was an average of 51.9 weeks ( in other words nearly a whole year) between a fast or multi-track claim being issued and the claim going to trial in January to March 2016.
