Out of the Box Mentoring Programme

August 30, 2017

Our CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) committee have committed Walker Foster to taking part in the Out of the Box mentoring programme for young adults with learning difficulties. It’s a great and worthwhile scheme which aims to help and support young adults as they take their first steps in to paid employment in the community.

As part of Walker Foster’s commitment to the programme, our head of Marketing and Business Development will start to support one young adult, as he takes on his first job later this week. Liz Scott who will be taking responsibility for Walker Foster’s involvement said ‘It’s a privilege to be in a position to help these young people as they take their first big step in the world of work. I am hoping through Walker Foster, that I can give the time and support needed to make my mentee feel comfortable and safe in their new work place and to encourage them to feel like confident in their new job role!’

Keep in touch with us on Facebook, LinkedIn Twitter and our community web site page to hear more about our journey as mentors in this very valuable programme.
